The Cougars have announced Dylan Jessa as the newest Captain.
“A common ingredient of every great captain is to lead by example. Dylan is a quiet leader. But, his ‘do as I do’ mentality makes him a very easy guy to follow.” Said Cougars Head Couch Brody Coulter. “Dylan is a champion. He is one of only a few players left in the VIJHL with Cyclone Tayler Cup experience and that’s something that i believe makes a big difference in a dressing room. We know Dylan will do a great job.”
The 5’11”, 175 pound blue liner has been a part of the Cougars since the 2018-19 season. Dylan is a product of the Saanich Minor Hockey association and is proud to call Victoria home.
“Being named team captain is obviously a huge honour. We had some great captains in my time here and I’m looking forward to the challenge.” Said Dylan. “These past two seasons have been difficult. As a group we can’t help but like there is a little bit of unfinished business in our dressing room.”
