A Winning Tradition Of Excellence

SIGNED: Aiden Turner

The Cougars continue to build their Calgary Contingent.

The Victoria Cougars are pleased to announce the signing of another Flames prospect, 2003 born forward Aidan Turner, from Calgary, Alberta.

“Turner is a great addition for us up front,” said GM Suneil Karod. “Losing six high-end forwards is always tough, but we expect Aidan to jump in right away to be an impact player. He’s a great kid and we’re excited to have him here. Aidan has exactly what the Cougar family looks for in players, he’s tough, a great teammate, has a high standard for work ethic, and he can put the puck in the net. I think Aidan has a great opportunity to be successful. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him make the jump to Jr. A before the season is over.”

Turner spent last season with the Calgary U18 AAA Flames before the season was cancelled. Previous to that Turner had 19 goals, 18 assists for 37 points in 26 games with the NWCAA Stamps.
“I am very excited and optimistic about signing here in Victoria. I can’t wait to be a part of this environment and am looking forward to becoming a member of this team,” said Aidan Turner.

When the 6’0″, 190lbs power forward was asked about what kind of player he is, he had this to say, “I am a player who likes to play physically and battle along the boards, who focuses on team success and brings effort every day. I am a playmaker first, but I have the ability to put pucks in the net as well.”

Turner is another great addition to the growing Cougar roster. Fans should be excited as this power forward fits the Cougars mould perfectly.

“I strive to be a player that everyone wants on their team and a player that opponents hate to play against,” added Turner. “I look forward to becoming the best player I can be as a member of the Cougars and I am very excited for the 2021-22 season with this team.”
