AQUIRED: Parker Jorginson

The Victoria Cougars have acquired 6’5” 215lbs Parker Jorginson from the Columbia Valley Rockies. Cougars fans should be excited about the trade.

“Parker is a big, mobile, smooth skating defenceman,” said GM Suneil Karod. “He defends hard and isn’t afraid to throw his body around and can skate the puck. Not only that, Parker will bring leadership to our club. I see Parker playing in all situations and being a big part of this team on and off the ice.”

Before signing with the Rockies, a product of Airdrie, Alberta, played with the Airdrie CFR Bisons U18 AAA club. In 29 games he had 2G and 2A with 60 PIMS.

This acquisition bolsters an already veteran backend for the Cougars, adding size and grit.

“When I was brought on as GM, one of my goals was the get bigger,” continued Karod. “We’re fast and skilled, but we can always get bigger. Bringing in Piche was the first step and he’s proven to be an intelligent player that knows how to utilize his size. I’m expecting the same from Parker. He won’t be easy to get around.”
