Tonight’s Player To Watch. Issac Phillips.

One of the most exciting players in the league to watch, Phillips has been a stalwart presence for the Cougars all season.

“Isaac has been a force throughout the regular season and has continued his strong play into playoffs. With many clutch game tying or winning goals this season the cougars need him to be huge tonight!”

Tonight’s Player To Watch is Nolan Baldwin.

Joining the Cougars in December from the Chilliwack Jets of the PJHL, Baldwin has plenty of experience in AAA hockey on both sides of the border. Prior to playing for the Jets he spent the previous year in the NAPHL with the Colorado Springs Tigers.

“Baldwin made a noticeable impact on the team when he joined the team mid-way through the season. Strong on both sides of the puck he has been consistently one of the most reliable two-way players on the Cougars.”

Tonight’s Player to Watch is Ashton Billesberger!

Ashton joined the Cougars in December. Prior to coming to Victoria, he played for Notre Dame of the SJHL, and the Maine Nordiques 18U AAA of the NAPHL.

“Ashton has been a great addition to the Cougars later this season. He’s a very versatile goalie who keeps his game simple and loves to win. Ashton has been a big part of the Cougars success and we’ll need him to play great in the playoffs.”

Tonight’s Player To Watch is Chase Barlow.

Barlow joined the Cougars in 2021 and made an immediate impact on the blue line by having plenty of experience in both Major Midget and Junior A. Powerful on both sides of the puck, Barlow is very hard to play against every night.

“Chase has been an integral part of the Cougars success this season with his play and leadership on and off the ice. Chase is having a great start to the playoffs and we’re counting on him to help us towards a deep run.”
