VICTORIA COUGARS 2018 SPRING CAMP

The Victoria Cougars are pleased to announce the dates for their 6th annual “Spring Camp”.  This camp is a great chance for players and parents to gain exposure to Junior hockey and the Cougars program.  In addition it will provide an opportunity to meet the Cougars’ coaching staff and several of the club’s Directors.

A number of this season’s players will be moving to Jr. A, WHL, or College, leaving many roster spots open for next season. Our club anticipates needing to replace over half our roster from 2018/2019.

As our organization will once again be looking to compete for a Cyclone Taylor Cup in 2018/19, the Victoria Cougars coaching staff will be looking to sign camp standouts at all positions for the upcoming 2018 season on Sunday May 6th at the conclusion of camp.

Cost for this camp is $225.

Spots at Spring Camp will not be guaranteed without receipt of payment.

The camp will open the evening of Friday May 4th, 2018 at the Oak Bay Recreation Centre.

Below is the tentative schedule for this year’s camp. Further information will be provided at check-in:

Friday May 4

  • 6:30pm                                 Player check-in and team assignment
  • 7:00pm                                 Team presentation
  • 8:00pm to 9:15pm               On-ice sessions

Saturday May 5

  • 10:45am to 2:30pm           On-ice sessions
  • 12:00pm -12:30pm            Individual Team Video Sessions
  • 4:00pm to 7:00pm             On-ice sessions

Sunday May 6                                                   

  • 9:00am to 12:00pm         On-ice sessions
  • 12:30pm                            Player exit interviews with the coaching staff

SPECIAL NOTE FOR GOALIES:  To ensure sufficient playing time we are restricting the number of GOALIE participants to 8.

Refunds: 

No refunds will be payable to any player who drops out, or cancels for any reason except major injury after the start of camp. Players who withdraw prior to the start of camp will be assessed a $50 administration fee from any refund payable.
