The Victoria Cougars are pleased to announce that Jake Stolz is their Player of the Week for the period ending December 24.
“Jake has proven to be one of the top defenders in our league,” Cougars’ associate coach Suneil Karod said.
Last week against the Westshore Wolves and Saanich Braves, Stolz kept both their respective top lines in check.
“Night after night, Jake plays against the other teams top lines and battles to ensure they remain pointless,” Karod said. “Along with his defensive skills, Jake is also developing into a sound leader in the dressing room.”
A defensive defenseman, Stolz has three goals and seven assists for ten points in 31 games.
